Once a year around Christmas, I host a giveaway gifting one free session as my way of saying thank you for being so supportive to me throughout the year.  It’s amazing that as a mommy  I get to capture your children just as they are in that moment: sweet, funny,  happy, silly, cranky, hungry, playful and all the emotions in between.  Even in my most exhausting and challenging mommy moments, I could not be happier that at the core of that exhaustion is a family love so strong, it brings tears to my eyes.  THANK YOU for allowing me to capture that intense love you have for your family, I truly feel so lucky to be a family photographer, beyond lucky really.  Last Christmas I hosted the giveaway slightly different than the years before.    Those that wanted a session had to post their inspiration board for their session.   I then picked my favorite three boards and had you guys vote on the winner.  C was the winner of that giveaway.  Her board had very fun yet emotional images.  Her images felt magical but not very posed.  They felt a bit on the lifestyle but also on the stylized side.  I LOVED her board!  We chatted in the months leading up to her session and decided that her session would be in a field but near water.  The boys would be clothed in very basic and boy-like outfits where they were free to explore the area around them.  C made this amazing teepee, brought books and a compass and the most perfect outfits.   We shot this at Bear Creek in Morrison and the end result is magical.  I know I’m working on sharing just a handful of images from each session but I’m breaking that rule here.  This session was months in the making and I’m SO in love with it!
