Lynsi contacted me when I was running a special and requested a session with her family around the time her son turned one.

My ears perked up at “turning one” because to me that meant cake smash.

And cake smash means FUN.

And also frosting.  Is there a person in the world that doesn’t like frosting?  Seriously, is there?

The day we met, the winds were so strong, I could barely get the car door open.  They had the baker meeting them with a custom cake.  I was nervous the day wasn’t going to work out, at that point I had yet to reschedule a session due to weather and was sure this was going to be my first.  Once we met up, we decided to drive to a different location and see if we could find a spot that would block the wind.  No luck.  Our session was scheduled for the next day and I’m so happy it was; we had perfect weather, cloud coverage and their kids were in the cutest mood.
