I love newborns.

They are squishy and sweet and adorable.   They have peeling skin and little belly button stubs.   Oh and their toes are so tiny like little raisins.   Their hands can barely get around one finger.  The loving gaze they give their moms- jaw dropping.  They are the miracle of life.

Courtney contacted me regarding newborn photos for their son Maximus.  She wrote me that he was two weeks old and I think I replied, “OMG, WeHAVEtohavethesessionlike-now because14daysisthelatesttheystaysleepyforme!!!”

Translation- Fourteen days is about the latest we can push a newborn for those sweet, sleepy newborn poses and we needed to get him in front of that camera like ASAP!

Shockingly she didn’t tell me I was a crazy lady and I wouldn’t have blamed her if she did!

The next morning, I was on my way to their house to photograph baby Maximus.

I dare you not to fall in love with him…
