Newborn Session FAQ

1.  How long will the session take?

Newborn sessions can last up to four hours. Yeah, you read that right, FOUR hours.  They don’t normally last that long but if we photograph on a day where baby is on a growth spurt and feeding more often, I stay until we get the shots needed.    If we have light, we keep shooting.   In all my baby and child sessions, the youngest usually rule the session.  I’m not going to try and mold the babies’ schedule to fit mine.  If you have a newborn session scheduled, you can bet I freed up my day for you!  If the baby is super sleepy, I can usually get a newborn session finished in a little over two hours.

2.  What do we need to do?

I have two kids and remember how tired I was at the newborn stage.  I try to do everything in my power to make that session easy and stress free for the new parents.  If you can, warm up your house.  Baby will be makes so warm that house up as high as you can stand it.
